미국 포츈지에 의하면 새로운 아이폰 3G가 더 가볍고 작아질 것이라고 하는군요. 이에 더해 AT&T와 24개월 계약시에는 최고 200불의 보조금이 지급될 것이라고 하네요. 이번기사로 애플이 심카드제한을 풀고 아무 이통사와 쓸 수 있게한다는 모델로 옮겨간다는 것이 기정 사실화 된듯 합니다.(따라서 AT&T 가 이런식으로 고객유치를 하려는듯 합니다.)또한 6월 발매라는 것도 다시한번 이 기사에서 확인을 시켜주고 있습니다.
단 이경우 애플에만 국한되는 특수기능 즉 visual voicemail등을 어떻게 타 이통사에서 구현될지는 모르겠습니다.
또한 더 얇아진다는 기사는 엔가젯발의 기사와는 정반되는 내용이군요.(정말 이렇다면 들고다니기는 편할듯 합니다만.)
이 기사의 대부분은 저번기사와 일치하긴 하지만 본 기사의 기자가 적어도 지난 1년산 애플 아이폰 3G에 관한 루머에서는 2번이나 예측이 빗나갔다고 하네요.
According to Fortunr magazine, new iPhone 3G will be slimmer(about 2.5mm less) and lighter. The same article also claims that iPhone will be cheaper will $200 subsidy if you connect with AT&T for 24 months. This seems to suggest that Apple is indeed moving to the open-SIM card model and if this is true this would be probably AT&T's way of attracting more customers. This article also reaffirms that iPhone 3G will be released in June.
However, it is not clear if other carriers will embrace the iPhone peculiar function such as visual voice mail-as this will require further investment own their own.
Whilst this is all good news. The report that it will be slimmer and lighter is in fact in direct comparison with Engadget claim that it will be thicker. But then again Engadget source was hoax one trying to detract attention from REAL iPhone 3G.
Still it must be noted the author of the article incorrectly predicted about iPhone 3G in last 12 months at least.
